This is a list of the requirements to be on the 2007 Swim team.
- Be a student registered at ZHS for the 2007 school term and be considered eligible in compliance with the LHSAA rules
- Must not be 19 before the first day of the 2007 school term
- Maintain a GPA of 1.5 to participate in team sports at ZHS (Previous semester GPA is subject to this rule if you are 10-12th)
- Be able to demonstrate ability to swim at least two of the four strokes (freestyle ,backstroke , breaststroke or butterfly) without aide of pool floor, walls or lane ropes for at least 25 yards
- Have written permission from parent or legal guardian to participate
- Be of good health .Have a currant medical physical by a physician on required LHSAA form prior to first team practice
- Proof of medical insurance (copy of insurance card for the Athletic Dept file)
- Attend swim team practice held at Fennwood Hills in Zachary
- Have the desire to compete on a coed team that will represent ZHS in the sport of High School Swimming
Expected cost and fees for Bronco Swimmers
The sport of swimming is not totally supported financially by the school; therefore we are responsible for a percentage of our expenses. We will plan team fund raisers needed to supplement our teams operating cost. Every team member is required to take part in all team fundraisers .
TEAM COMPETITION SUITS estimated cost GIRLS $38-40, BOYS $28-32 .
Our team suits are black tank style competition suits for the girls and “jammer”thigh length style for the guys.
We will arrange a SUIT FITTING DAY to get sizes from everyone They may be purchased in Baton Rouge at Natal’s on Essen lane

One team competition cap (necessary for anyone with hair long enough to get in their eyes) will be given to each swimmer at the beginning of the season , additional caps may be purchased as needed from me..only other bit of equipment needed for swimming is
....good fitting pair of goggles (you will need several pair by seasons end)
Team T-shirts, sweat suits and equipment bags will be ordered early also to assure they will be ready for our first competition.
Other fees usually covered by our team account are the $20 entry fee per swimmer for the expected 5 regular season meets . Our State meet entry fees are $10 per competitor . We pay a $50 team registration fee at the beginning of the fall to the Capital City Swim League.
